High risk activities that could affect employees due to possible Occupational diseases

According to Decree 2090 of 2003 in which “High risk activities that could affect employee’s health are defined and pension scheme conditions, requirements and benefits for employees who work on specific activities are modified”, and Decree 2655 of 2014 which extended 10 years Decree 2090 validity; as previously reported, we list Ecopetrol S.A departments that perform high risk activities and apply the referred regulation:

  • High temperature exposure according to occupational health technical standards.

  • Workover activities for the trades of Cuñero and encuellador (Floor Hand / Derrickman): Upstream - Central Regional Vice-Presidency - Development and Production Operations Management Mares.

  • Workover activities for the trades of Cuñero and Encuellador (Floor Hand / Derrickman): Upstream - Central Regional Vice-Presidency - Development and Production Operations Management Rio.

  • Operations, Supervision and Maintenance activities where the use of type B suit is mandatory: Cartagena Refinery Management - Acid Zone Alkylation Plant.

  • Carcinogenic substances exposure

  • Aromatics Plant - Petrochemical Department - Barrancabermeja Refinery.

  • Maintenance Team IV- Barrancabermeja Refinery.

  • Industrial Laboratory - Barrancabermeja Refinery.

  • Acid Plant - Cracking III Unit - Barrancabermeja Refinery.

  • Alkylation, Hydro-isomerization and Merox Plant - Cracking II Unit - Barrancabermeja Refinery.

  • Maintenance Department - Welders - Barrancabermeja Refinery.

  • Fire Department specifically responsible for operational fire extinguish:

  • Emergency Prevention and Control Coordination - Barrancabermeja Refinery.

  • Emergency Prevention and Control Coordination - Cartagena Refinery.

  • Orito Production Coordination - Upstream.

Regarding to possible Occupational diseases, in 2022 there were zero cases related to the previous activities listed.
