Strategical leverage

Since 2023, Ecopetrol has implemented MARS-E tool, to collect and manage data on waste generated across its operational and administrative areas, from the generation source to its closure. MARS - E allows the traceability and monitoring of Ecopetrol's integrated waste management performance, segregated to the volumes generated by each waste stream..

As a strategic enables, the tool supports the assessment of hazardous and non-hazardous waste management; facilitates the identification of improvement opportunities, and enables the generation of reports, as well as the management of documentation required for regulatory compliance. The information generated supports decision-making for continuous performance improvement, as well as the identification of opportunities for improvement in management and the promotion of circular economy initiatives.
