LPG / Propane / Butane
LPG is a mixture of light hydrocarbons, mainly consisting of propane, C3s (propane-derived compounds), butane and C4s (butane-derived compounds) in variable proportions. In normal conditions, it is gaseous and it is liquefied when compressed. It is produced at natural gas processing plants and refineries, particularly catalytic cracking plants.
It is mainly used as a domestic fuel for cooking and heating water. It can also be used in furnaces, dryers, boilers and different industries, in internal combustion engines and gas turbines for power generation.
