In compliance with Decree 2090 of 2003 and Decree 2655 of 2014, Ecopetrol has identified activities related to high temperatures above the permissible limits, proven carcinogenic substances and workers of the fire brigade with action in extinguishing fires.

Below are the areas of the company in which high-risk activities are carried out, according to current regulations:

  • Work that involves exposure to high temperatures above the permissible limit values, determined by occupational health technical standards:
  • Sea Development and Production Management under the Central Region Vice Presidency - Workover activities for Roughneck and Derrick man positions.
  • River Development and Production Management under the Central Region Vice Presidency - Workover activities for Roughneck and Derrick man positions
  • Cartagena Refinery Management - Acid Zone Alkylation Plant: Operations, Supervision and Maintenance Activities where the use of type B suit is mandatory
  • Jobs with exposure to proven carcinogenic substances:
  • Aromatics Plant - Petrochemical Department - Barrancabermeja Refinery.
  • Maintenance Group VI - Barrancabermeja Refinery.
  • Industrial Laboratory - Barrancabermeja Refinery.
  • Acid Plant - Cracking III - Barrancabermeja Refinery.
  • Alkylation, Hydroisomerization and Merox Plant - Cracking II - Barrancabermeja Refinery.
  • Maintenance Department - Welders - Barrancabermeja Refinery
  • In Fire Brigades, activities related to the specific function of acting in fire extinguishing operations:
  • Emergency Prevention and Control Coordination - Barrancabermeja Refinery.
  • Emergency Prevention and Control Coordination - Cartagena Refinery.
  • Orito Production Coordination.
  • Regarding the incidence of diseases, in 2020 there were no cases of occupational diseases associated with the activities listed here.
