Main indicators on occupational health and industrial safety management at Ecopetrol

  • Total Recordable Injury Frequency (TRIF): Measures the number of recordable injuries caused by or on the occasion of the work of direct personnel, contractor, subcontractor and apprentices, which includes: (i) fatality, (ii) medical incapacity, (iii) restricted work, or (iv) medical treatment, for every million hours worked.
  • High potential incidents: Accident or near accidents where the worst probable result under other circumstances, could have been one or more fatalities. A High Potential Incident is an incident that did not reach its most serious potential and did not become a fatality.
  • Vehicle accident rate: Measures the number of road accidents per million kilometers traveled.
  • Occupational disease rate: This indicator allows to describe the behavior of occupational disease and monitoring the impact of the proposed promotion, prevention and intervention actions. It measures the number of events classified as Occupational Illness in active workers of Ecopetrol S.A. for every thousand workers in a period evaluated.
