Ecopetrol Group announced its link to the initiative “Ayudar Nos Hace Bien" (Helping is Good for Us), led by the First Lady of the nation, María Juliana Ruiz, and whose objective is to bring markets to the most vulnerable families affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
The contribution of the Group exceeds $5.2 billion, represented in 41.877 humanitarian aid that are being distributed in 64 municipalities in 21 departments of the country such as banco Santander, Norte de Santander, Cesar, Meta, Cundinamarca, Antioquia, Boyacá, Valle del Cauca, Huila, Nariño, Putumayo, La Guajira, and the cities of Neiva, Barranquilla, and Cartagena, among others.
This contribution is linked to the information systems to be registered and added in the initiative "Ayudar Nos Hace Bien"”
Since the beginning of the emergency, Ecopetrol Group has worked jointly with the National Government and territorial entities to contribute to mitigating the impacts of Covid-19 and has reached more than 118 municipalities in 22 departments of the country.
The contributions, which will benefit more than 450,000 Colombians, have focused on providing humanitarian aid, providing protection and cleaning elements to institutions and medical personnel, and strengthening the capacity installed in health centers.
"Participating in 'Ayudar Nos Hace Bien' means promoting equity in the distribution of humanitarian aid in the different regions of the country. We support the initiatives promoted by the National Government in response to the commitment and solidarity that must unite us as Colombians. If we contribute the best of each, we will overcome this complex situation that requires the contribution of all,” said Felipe Bayón, president of Ecopetrol.
Recently Ecopetrol Group also announced its support for the “Comparto mi energía” program promoted by the Ministry of Mines and energy to contribute to the payment of energy service to the most vulnerable Colombian families.
In this way, Ecopetrol Group consolidates contributions of more than $88 billion for emergency care for the benefit of Colombians.
