The company achieved profits of $1.7 billion. Once again Ecopetrol showed resilience to complex environments.
- Ecopetrol among the few oil companies with positive results in 2020
- Through the social investment program "Apoyo País", Ecopetrol committed more than $88 billion for 2020 and 2021, of which 86% was executed at the end of the year. Nearly 252 thousand families and 250 institutions benefited.
- In #TransiciónEnergética, Ecopetrol obtained accumulated emission reductions of 1.8 Million tons of CO2 equivalent and in renewable energies the contract was signed to build the San Fernando solar eco-park with up to 59 MW of capacity.
- The reserves balance was 1,770 million barrels of oil equivalent (boeboe), reflecting a reduction of 6.5%, which is lower than the figure initially forecast of between 15% and 20% due to the drop in prices and activity levels during the period.
- In terms of production, an accumulated average of 697 kbped was reached in 2020, in line with the goal of achieving levels close to 700 kbped.
