It is used in internal combustion engines of spark ignition and low compression ratio (less than 9:1). However, it can also maintain appropriate performance at higher engine relationship but at altitudes above 2000 meters above the sea level. It can be mixed in any proportion with higher octane gasoline until reaching a mixture with the appropriate octane, according to the requirements of the engine at any altitude.
