Gasoline is a complex blend that can contain from 200 to 300 different hydrocarbons, formed by fuel fractions from different petroleum refining processes, such as atmospheric distillation, catalytic cracking, thermal cracking, alkylation, catalytic reforming, polymerization and others.
Different octane numbers are obtained in accordance with the target market, regular or low-octane motor gasoline and premium gasoline with a higher octane number.
Uses
Internal combustion engines. The fraction or components it consists of can be blended in different proportions, or gasolines with different octane numbers can be blended to get the desired or required octane number
