The family members of Ecopetrol pensioners may file for the payment of expenses of the pensioner´s death by submitting the following documentation:

  • Return of the pensioner´s original Ecopetrol identity card.
  • Death Certificate or civil registration of the pensioner´s death (or a notarized copy of either document)
  • Original and two copies of the bill issued by the funeral home (made out to the person who paid the funeral expenses)
  • Letter requesting reimbursement of the expenses paid, including personal information: address, telephone number, etc.
  • Photocopy of the identification of the person who made the payment
  • Certificate of the bank account of the person who made the payment, indicating account number and type.
  • Birth certificate of the person filing for allowance to demonstrate relation.
  • Central Suppliers Registry form. (To be completed by the person requesting allowance). This should include personal information: address, telephone number, etc.
  • The funeral allowance pays the costs incurred based on the monthly pension amount and shall be no less than five and no more than ten times the minimum wage in force.
