Ecopetrol:

In 2007 Ecopetrol changed its corporate image adopting the “Iguana” as a symbol of its unmistakable commitment to life and fitted to its new strategy in becoming a global enterprise in the energy sector.

The iguana is present in most of the production fields and refineries of Ecopetrol. For this reason, both volumes of the 2007 Annual Ecopetrol Report are illustrated with photographs of the iguana in these regions. These images are part of an investigation conducted by the Colombian Nature Foundation (FCN) on the life of the iguanas in our country.

The foundation, born in 2006, works for the conservation and protection of the renewable natural resources in Colombia.

One of its remarcable studies is “Condition of the amphibians populations in the Piedemonte llanero of la Orinoquía”.
