First steps taken towards the construction of the "Oleoducto Bicentenario"
Announced today the incorporation of a new special purpose company to construct and operate a private pipeline which will run from the Casanare Department to the port of Coveñas. The new pipeline will facilitate oil exports from the Llanos region, considered one of the most prospective in Colombia.
Number of blocks assigned to Ecopetrol rises to 10 in Open Round Colombia
The Colombian National Agency of Hydrocarbons (ANH) has assigned another exploration block to Ecopetrol S.A. in the Open Round Colombia 2010 bidding process, following the Company´s winning bids for nine other blocks located in various provinces of the country.
Ecopetrol receives final approval for listing its ADR on the TSX
Ecopetrol S.A. is pleased to announce that it has received final approval from the Toronto Stock Exchange (the "TSX") for the listing of its American Depositary Receipts (the "ADRs") on the TSX. Each ADR represents 20 ordinary shares of Ecopetrol common stock. The ADRs are scheduled to commence trading on the TSX at the opening of market on Friday August 13, 2010 under the ticker symbol "ECP".
Ecopetrol announces dates for the second dividend payment
Ecopetrol S.A. has announced that the second payment of COP$30 per share as ordinary dividend for 2010 will be paid from August 25, 2010. The ex-dividend period begins on August 10, 2010.
Ecopetrol and Talisman acquire BP Exploration Company Colombia Limited
Ecopetrol and the Canadian company Talisman reached an agreement today with BP to acquire its affiliate company in Colombia, BP Exploration Company Colombia Limited, owner of all the company´s interests and business in Colombia. The US$1,750 million dollar deal plus additional US$145 million return of equity to Ocensa´s shareholders previously agreed thereby, gives 51% interest to Ecopetrol and 49% to Talisman.
